Meet Your Presenter! Brandon is a Physical Educator from New York who started his career teaching in Brooklyn and now teaches near his hometown in upstate NY. His classes are full-on and equal parts skill development, basic training for life and musical theater. Brandon loves to dance, is a Zumba Instructor and is the current NYSAHPERD Dance Section President. Brandon is an OPEN National Trainer and past leader for People to People Student Ambassadors. He has coauthored the OPEN K-2, 3-5 and Middle School Dance Modules. Brandon comes from a family of teachers, which has helped him grow up with and maintain an insatiable hunger to learn. 1) Participants will leave feeling energized & confident to lead Physical Education activities in a classroom in a meaningful and impactful way.
2) Participants will be able to share at least three school-based activities to promote MVPA outside of physical education.
3) Participants will be able to access and recall a minimum of two resources to access physical activity ideas that can be shared with colleagues upon returning to school.
