About This Session! The topic of health education is distinctly different from other subjects students study at school. Perhaps the most immediate difference is that health is not just about information you can cover in a textbook. It’s something students are literally living and breathing every day. It’s not enough to simply teach students information about health. As health educators, HealthSmart offers a comprehensive skills-based approach to health education to help students master key concepts and skills that promote health literacy and lifelong health.
