Meet You Presenter! Jo Bailey teaches Physical Education at D.C. Everest Senior High School and D. C. Everest Middle School in Weston, WI. She has also taught in the UK and Hong Kong. Jo is is a National Board Certified Teacher, a Google Certified Innovator, and was the 2013 Midwest SHAPE America High School Physical Education Teacher of the Year. Jo is driven to help her students “find their fun” through physical activity and leave school holding their own golden ticket to a lifetime of health, wellness, and movement. About This Session: No more competent bystanders! Cooperative Learning is an instructional strategy which allows your students to maximise their learning in the psychomotor, cognitive, and affective domains.
In this hands-on session you will experience a variety of cooperative learning structures and learn how they can be used to meet PE standards and grade level outcomes using a wide variety of activities. Come and learn about some game-changing teaching strategies!
