"How to Create a Comfortable Classroom" is being led by Rachel Hervey. Rachel teaches at Washtenaw International High School in Michigan and is a founding member of the Southeastern Michigan Health Educator Learning Network.
Details: In this session, participants will learn and reflect on instructional strategies for supporting all students with support, respect and understanding. While this seems obvious, this aspect of teaching is sometimes overlooked.  Review and/or learn more about the "Nuts and Bolts" for creating a non-judgmental, confidential, and culturally sensitive atmosphere in diverse health education settings.
