"Cardio Capture for All" Murray Wallace is a middle school physical education teacher from Erie Colorado. He is the Central District MS PE TOY 2019 and Colorado MS PE TOY 2017 Originally from Scotland, Murray is a passionate physical educator and advocate for quality physical education with a focus for ALL students learning to take care of themselves so no one else has to. Murray is a member of the Board for SHAPE Colorado and also, formerly, a coach educator with USA and World Rugby. And Murray will receive his coveted "5 Year Pin" this year!
Details: This is an activity session in which participants will learn new fun and exciting ways to teach students about Health-Related Fitness concepts. The activities and games that will be presented also incorporate teamwork, decision making, critical thinking and are designed for students to have fun while learning these concepts. So come and have some fun and see why I get 10th and 11th graders coming back to see me and asking if they can play “Cardio Capture”. Participants will also get access to video demonstrations of “Chariot Racing and “Build a Healthy Body Ball” for students to learn about muscle strength, muscle endurance and body composition.
