Andy Hair is a highly motivated and entertaining physical education teacher from Australia. As his students' self proclaimed "Physical Literacy Coach," Andy's #1 personal and professional goal is to see all of his children and youth excel and achieve their personal life's dreams.  His physical education motto is “Dream, Believe & Achieve!"  Outside of his days (and evenings) as a teacher and coach, Andy lives a very physically active life training for fun "mudder" events, community fun runs and Ironman Triathlons.

"I believe a physical education teacher serves as a positive role model for his or her school and community," Andy says. "This extends beyond the walls of our gym and into the various communities that interact with our students." As an example of this, Andy also works for School Sport Victoria as Regional Coordinator. He has been with this group for the past 20 years acting in various roles to provide children with pathways to participate in community sports. Andy currently coordinates 28 sporting carnivals throughout the year.*

* In Australian culture, sports carnivals are held to perform competitions in the individual or team disciplines like track and field, swimming or Surf Life Saving. Teams from different clubs or schools gather together for both individual point-score and team score. Often, the carnival is opened by a parade with the teams marching in uniforms and flags over the field of competition.
